Levi the Liger

Levi is the male liger and he lives at the Wynnewood Zoo in Oklahoman state of USA. Ligers; such as Levi are classified as the hybrid big cats in the big cat family. Levi is classified as the liger because his father is a lion and his mother is a tigress. Levi is the very famous liger in the world because of his massive appearance and the huge size and thanks to the Wynnewood zoo authorities who have elaborated and communicated about his mysterious traits on multiple occasions.

A very famous liger named as Levi the Liger lives at the Wynnewood Zoo in Oklahoma, USA. Levi is the male liger and he is born to the male lion and the female tiger.

Currently; Levi is perhaps the only male liger within the state of Oklahoma, USA and he is claimed to be the second biggest liger in the world. Levi the liger looks so huge that a normal lion or a tiger will appear like a dwarf in front of his massive appearance. According to the zookeepers; Levi the liger weighs in between 850 to 900 pounds in weight. His body length is in between 10.8 to 11 feet long and he has a huge body structure which has longer legs (also big) to support his overall body weight.

Levi the liger is in between 850 to 900 pounds in weight and his body length is almost 11 feet long. Male ligers like Levi have the tendency to grow bigger than lions and tigers.

His face is almost as wide as the shoulders of a normal man while his mouth has enormous jaw muscles for a massive bite power. Ligers do have the tendency to grow almost twice bigger than their parents i.e., lion and tigress, while the size of the Levi the liger is exactly up to the mark in terms of its size and appearance.

Levi the liger has inherited various characteristics of tigers and lions which are also his parents. He has beautiful stripes from the tiger side while he possesses a beautiful mane (a blonde mane) from the lion side. Some male ligers do have mane (small in size) around their necks (also called maned ligers) while others may not have any mane at all (maneless ligers). Based upon these variations, ligers are can also be classified as the maned and manelss ligers.

Levi the liger has stripes like tiger on its fur while its fur color resembles the tawny brown fur color of the lions. Levi the liger also has a beautiful blonde color mane around its neck.

In our case; Levi the liger is the maned liger for having a blonde mane around its neck. The color of the liger stripes are dark brown in color while the tigers have black stripes or reddish brown (Golden Tabby Tigers) ones. The fur color of the Levi the liger is tawny brown and it resembles exactly like the fur coloring of the lions.

As mentioned earlier; Levi the liger weighs in between 850 to 900 pounds while the world's biggest liger Hercules the liger weighs more than 900 pounds (921 pounds to be precise). The claim of the zoo looks very real because we didn't see this much huge ligers all over the world. However; Hercules the liger also has its brothers named as Zeus, Vulcan and Sinbad.

The Wynnewood Zoo authorities claim that Levi the liger is the 2nd biggest liger and also the 2nd biggest cat in the world after the world's biggest Hercules the liger.

All of these liger brothers weighed almost 900 pounds. If these ligers are alive today then any one of these ligers may well be the second biggest cat and the liger in the world. Furthermore; recently a liger named as Apollo also appeared from Myrtle Beach Safari and his size appears to be more than 900 pounds as well. Moreover; a liger from Russia's Pyatagorsk region also seemed to weigh almost 850 to 900 pounds in weight.

Levi also loves to roar with other lions at the zoo and he also chuffs like a tiger.

Levi the liger loves to socialize with his zookeepers and visitors by scent marking them. Levi roars like a lion and chuffs like a tiger. Levi is very social and he loves to swim like the tigers.

He often loves to stand against the grill of his enclosure on its two legs to greet his zookeepers. According to the zookeepers; Levi the liger is part of the hybrid research program which is expected to yield key insights about the research of the hybrid big cats in future.
